nettokay, so me and tim wandered into borders today, and whilst trying in vain to find the amelie dvd, I spotted a copy of "Notorious Herb Ritts" on the discount shelf...
intruigued, I wandered over, and discovered it was a badly battered version of the book that had been marked down to $30. there was NO way I was passing up such an insanely beautiful book for that price, and so grabbed it...
TIM, the evul man that he is, suddenly remembered that he'd found 'a book that you woul LOVE' the week before on the other discount shelf, and so dragged me (well, drag is an off term, more like lead me like a panting lap dog... *laughs*) off to the section, where he proceeded to pull out a slightly damaged copy of "vogue twentieth century fashion: 100 years of style by decade and designer" which was marked down to $20.
apparently he'd gone to buy it for me but was distracted by his girlfriend or something similar.
cringing at the thought (I have ZERO dollars but my mother leant me her eftpos card, she IS an angel) I went to purchase them and found out that they were a further 50% off the marked price!!
I nearly died!!! Notorious sells here for anywhere up to $220, and vogue: twentieth century fashion retails at about $70 - and I got them both for $25!!!!!!!!!!!
